Buster the Bus talks safety at Popp's Ferry Elementary | Schools
"Buster the Bus" rolled into Popps Ferry Elementary on Monday.
Buster taught the students about the danger zones around buses, proper behavior on the bus, plus, why they should never chase after a school bus.
Buster will visit every elementary school in Biloxi this week.
"July 1, we had Nathan's Law go into effect. A law that we really needed for along time, and we've had a rash of school bus accidents where loss of life has occurred. And that's what we want to avoid, so we're on a statewide initiative to bring attention to it," said Johnny Poulos with the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
More than 3,000 students ride school buses in Biloxi every day.
